If I'm David Poile, I am not having Jones room with Suter! Who knows what Ryan is telling Sethy about what his experience will be like in Nashville. Jones is going to be a stellar defenseman and will likely outshine Suter's legacy. I didn't know Jones was even going to Sochi.

*It's not a given that Jones is going to Sochi, but he and Smith are part of the group that was invited to the orientation this week. I don't mind Suter and Jones rooming together. Suter doesn't seem like a vindictive kind of guy. Yes, he played Poile big time, but that's partially on Poile too. Poile should have traded him before the draft. He wasn't coming back and everyone could see that except Poile.
*Burke- It's one thing to be outspoken in the USA or Canada. It's an entirely different story in Russia. I wouldn't be making a big fuss while I'm there if I were him.
There's a really good article out regarding why Russian athletes may be keeping quiet or supporting the anti-gay law. It's worth a read:

Anyway, I'm happy training camp is about to start up. One week more and we have hockey again.
